Danny is looking for his old life back.
Danny is a British soldier (squaddie) recently returned from fighting the war in Basra (Iraq), and
he’s trying to assimilate back into “normal” life.
This is proving to be difficult… because Danny is a psychopath. It seems (to him), nobody understands or cares what he has been through. He has returned
to a “foreign England”, where his life is in disarray.
Faced with rejection from an ex-girlfriend, he starts a journey to fight a different, more personal kind of battle. In part, this play is about the fall out of the
war on terror. It is also a play about the fallout of the war in Iraq.
“I don’t blame the war, the war was alright. It’s just… you come back to this.”
Motortown is a powerful and provocative portrayal of a volatile and morally insecure world.
This play does contain frequent coarse language & explicit violence

Belgrave Carnival Good Friday Appeal Event
April 18th Good Friday
At St Thomas Primary School
The traders and businesses of Belgrave are supporting the event and sponsoring rides, donating funds, time and products. The aim is to give the kid of the Dandenong Ranges a great day while raising and much money for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Because the businesses as contributing much of the ticket sales people can be confident that the money will go directly to the kids.
Some of the great rides will include:
Merry Go Round, Jumping Castle, Giant Slide, Battery Operated Cars and "the Impressive Kite Flyer" (See Website).
As well as the rides there will be Baby farm animals, Reptiles, so bring the kids to meet and greet these very interesting creatures
Local Musical Acts
There will be a sound stage with local musical acts, so feel free to join in singing and dancing.
Face painting is always a favourite and roving entertainment should be a hit.
Easter Egg Hunt
And of course there will be an Easter Egg Hunt with a load of eggs for everyone to find so bring an adventurous spirit and join the fun.
