Indigenous Plants – Introduction
TUESDAYS
7th May – 25th June (8 weeks)
9.30am – 2.30pm
$90 / $50 Conc.
Explore the unique Indigenous plants of the Dandenongs Ranges during this relaxed and friendly Introductory course.  We discuss a wide range of topics including Australian Native plants and their uses, weeds, connection to Country, permaculture principles and bushfoods.
Previous excursions have included Royal and Cranbourne Botanic Gardens, Milarri Gardens, Southern Dandenong Community Nursery, and Knox Environment Society.

Indigenous Plants – Practical Skills
SATURDAYS
4th May – 8th June
9.30am – 1.30pm

$80 / $40 Conc.

Join experienced indigenous horticulturalist Ross Henry on this exciting 6-week course (4 hours per week) to learn practical skills in plant identification, appropriate plant use, seed saving, propagation, and nursery techniques. Spend time in and around Minak Reserve and visit Knox Environmental Society Nursery.

Your skills will serve you well as a valued volunteer at local community nurseries, with local Friends Groups, schools, move towards formal study, work opportunities, or simply help your own garden flourish with indigenous plants.
