On Sunday at 4.00pm our centre will broadcast our 1000th Buddhist Hour radio program on 97.1FM and online at www.3mdr.com.

Starting in 1998, for many years our radio team members wrote a weekly radio script which was a Dhamma teaching based on a specific topic. The archive of these remarkable radio scripts is available on our website by clicking on the Buddhist Radio tab on the home page.

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Buddhist Discussion Centre Australia, this 1000th Buddhist Hour Radio program will include the first instalment of the history of our centre starting from 1978. Over the next few weeks further parts of the history will be broadcast on our radio program each Sunday.

Also on this week's 1000th Buddhist Hour program a selection of our centre's recently recorded chanting CD will be played in part for the first time to an audience. Our members, Nicole and Claire, who are musicians, have arranged the recording and production of the chanting contained in the centre's Chanting Sheet as well as some mantras from the Mahayana tradition with instrumental backing. This project is one of our centre's official 40th Anniversary projects.

Please tune in to the Buddhist Hour this Sunday from 4.00 - 5.00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on 97.1 FM radio, or at www.3mdr.com to hear this important broadcast of our centre's history.

— at 3MDR 97.1 FM (Mountain District Radio).
