Barbara joined the CBF as an first Grants Administrator in 1991 after discovering her love of community radio at 3MDR (where she was a founding member). Barbara has provided grants advice and support for community broadcasters across Australia, while at the same time, juggling responsibilities as CBF's Finance Manager.
Over the years, Barbara has seen many changes at the CBF and in community media. Her dedication and commitment to supporting broadcasters has been unwavering. On behalf of the community broadcasters you have helped – thank you. On behalf of the CBF Support Team, thank you for your passion, commitment and dry sense of humour. We’ll miss you!
‘Barbara and I have worked together for 18 years now and it’s really hard to imagine the CBF without her. To be without her remarkable memory, her command of detail and her wry, wicked sense of humour. I could praise her strong work ethic, her complete reliability, her dedication and commitment all day. And, it would all be true. I will certainly miss her for that amazing contribution to the work of the CBF, but what I’ll miss more is the opportunity to spend so much time with someone who over the years has become a valued friend.’
Ian Stanistreet, CEO Community Broadcasting Foundation.
