David Miller is an institution at 3MDR, we wouldn’t be on air if it wasn’t for him!
David has been part of the 3MDR family since 1995, presenting a number of shows in that time, and has always had the head technician role. David fixes, maintains and improves every aspect of 3MDR’s technical operations. From studio panels, transmission & studio equipment, OB gear, live music gear, our UPS & generators, office, studio & production computers and everything else in between!! He was central in our move from Emerald to Upwey and has vowed to never move the station again… Something we all hope to avoid!!
David is also 3MDR’s head sound engineer and premiered having live music on air at 3MDR. Via his show The Dotted Line, David conducts weekly on air live performances & interviews with musicians and retains a significant archive of music recorded in 3MDR’s many studio locations and at events.
Overall, David is the embodiment of one of his oft quoted sayings “Calm Blue Oceans” and functions best with high levels of caffeine.
