Tina / Volunteer
In addition to being an excellent musician, Tina is our office volunteer extraordinaire!
In her own words:
“I first discovered 3MDR as a singer in local community choirs Sweet Sassafras and VoKallista as it sometimes occasioned a 3MDR appearance. Fast forward a few years and I was doing open mic nights at Burrinja and Selby Folk Club and met heaps more 3MDR folk. Then, when I started writing and performing my own songs, it was the 3MDR tribe that nurtured my enthusiasm, played my songs, invited me onto shows, and generally welcomed me into the family.
Just before Covid, I quit an insanely busy government job and was chuffed to bits to be asked if I might like to volunteer at 3MDR. I started out on the Management team, but found it way too structured after a lifetime of bureaucracy, so asked if I could just help out in the office instead. I learned the ropes during lockdown with Peej and Ren, to the point where I now get to do pretty much anything that makes life a bit easier for Nat and Ren.
And I feel as if I have a million more 3MDR buddies now.”
